Meaningless Gobbledegook

Recently a reader mentioned that "Paul never saw Jesus in the flesh". So what? Why dwell on these meaningless points. I have never seen Jesus in the flesh, but I have seen His face in 3D in the Bible by my exercising the God-given gift of faith. Luke in his gospel says that Jesus as a baby was brought to the temple dedication as custom dictated. When he was placed into the hands of Simeon, the officiating elder, Simeon made this simple prayer:" Lord lettest now thy servant depart in peace, for mine eyes hath seen thy salvation." I see here A SAVING FACE (LUKE 2.30) Later, whilst the shadows of bitterness were hanging over Jerusalem, Luke describes how Jesus, aware of his goings on, nevertheless "Set His Face to go to Jerusalem." I see here A STEADFAST FACE (Luke 9.51) John in his gospel tells us in clear and understandable language that Jesus was brought (hauled may be a better description) into the Judgment Hall (the main court ) before his accusers. Now His accusers were made up of the envious, the BITTER, self-centred, arrogant, stupid, ignorant, self-Righteous people - like a rogues gallery who own mode of religion was Purely external observations. "Oh its Sunday".

A modern version might be going to the church three times in a lifetime And each occasion on wheels - baptism, wedding, funeral. Standing in that Judgement Hall Jesus was like " a sheep before her Shearer is dumb". John Says (and he saw Jesus in the flesh), "He openeth not His mouth". I see here A SILENT FACE (John 19.9). A few hours later after this farce, Jesus was lead To His crucifixion. There they mockingly placed A crown of thorns on His head. These thorns came from plants growing in that region and were an inch to one and a half inches in length. I see here A SCARRED FACE (John 19.10 onwards). When bitterness entered this world, like sin it was fully grown.

Bitterness is still with us today, I even read about it in the Telegraph letters page sometimes and no doubt, if you print this letter shall read it again. Bitterness is a seed-bed for confusion can make even the atheist seem like an ass(a fool). The atheist does not believe in the existence of God, but is in the front of the queue to blame God for all this world's ills and catastrophes. Ironic is it not? A saving face, a steadfast face, a silent face, ascender face, but there's more in the book of Revelations. This book has nothing to do with the trash shouted by "false prophets" like Nostradamus or even the now embarrassed David Ike and many others before and after and others waiting in the wings to enter the stage of falsification. Jesus alone is the determinator of predictions. Granted the book of Revelations is full of imagery and symbolism and grotesque scenes, but it is crystal clear about certainties and one of these certainties is that one day (determined by Jesus) Jesus will sit in judgement upon this world. And I see here A SOLEMN FACE (i.e. Rev20.11) Petty squabbles (on biblical interpretation) of insignificance only leads to expressing meaningless gobbledegook.
