Isaiah 41:7

Where Ezekiel sees the MAJESTY of Jehovah, and Jeremiah sees
the PRESENCE of Jehovah, Isaiah sees the TENDERNESS of
Jehovah. Isaiah was as transparent as he was transformed, there is nothing spurious about his book, nothing to purport that Isaiah was
anything other than genuine.

His prayer was never : "Here am I Lord, send him." He
POSSESSED as well as PROFESSED the tenderness of his God.
The theme highlighted is that despite the chaos and calamity,
Jehovah still reigns. Isaiah would walk over fire or broken class for Jehovah.
He was a man clearly aware that to be self-centred is to be an
immense distance from God. Isaiah was a man MOTIVATED by purpose, ACTIVATED by concern, and STIMULATED by his crystal-clear focus of the goal of destiny.

His motto might well have been: 'Look up and aim high.'
Verse 7 speaks of tradesmen or craftsmen, the joiner, the goldsmith,
the blacksmith. The supreme craftsmen is Jehovah.
Lessons from verse 7 (chap 41) -
A) ENCOURAGEMENT....SUPPORT and SPUR (urging). MOTIVATION
B) ENERGY....SHAPES, SMOOTHES and SMITES...... ACTIVATION
C) ETERNITY...............STABLE and SECURE.............STIMULATION
The KEY to verse 7 is found in verse 6b "Be strong and of good courage," or as in the N.I.V. "Be strong."
Isaiah never would cover his face with his hand timidly to hide from the
heretics, the hypocrites etc. He was bold ! See Paul Romans 10:20.
Isaiah never strived for popularity! For him Jehovah was Sovereign in
charge. Isaiah's down-to-earth character arguably makes his book the greatest in the Old Testament.
